Abstract:
The paper assesses possible health effects and environment damage due to the use of depleted uranium ammunition during the NATO bombardment of Yugoslavia. The amount of uranium that reached certain areas in the country and data of the long-term measurements of uranium concentrations in environmental and human samples was taken into account. State zero data on radio-ecological areas with higher concentrations of natural uranium, as well as on bioindicators, are also considered.
