The Meeting was held at the József Fodor National Center for Public Health, Budapest, with the participation of 13 countries of the Region.

The Meeting was opened by Prof. Ungváry, Vice President of the Intergovernmental Forum of Chemical Safety (IFCS). A comprehensive overview of the IFCS and Forum Standing Committee (FSC) activities since FORUM III was given by Dr. Judy Stober, Executive Secretary of IFCS. Mr. Karel Blaha was elected to be the Chairman of the session. Dr. J. Kovacicova and Dr. I. Nagy were appointed to Rapporteurs.
