Abstract:
A complex study has been conducted on the hazardous factors of the working environment on chemical cargo tankers transporting liquid chemical substances.
On the basis of the hygienic assessment of the working process and the chemical monitoring of the environment, the most important activities providing real conditions for exposure are determined (loading, unloading, washing of the tanks and their treatment with certain chemical substances), and the toxic noxae are identified. The data gained are the basis of the definition of the type of the toxic effect: intermittent, combined and complex.
