In Hungary a new type of occupational asbestos danger appeared which affects mainly workers engaged in asbestos removal. In the 1970s asbestos was used for fireproof insulation in the industry and in the buildings. Since the application of the insulation these surfaces have been damaged, in several places broken or torn, therefore it has now neen deemed necessary to remove the asbestos containing insulation.
The measurement and control of the airborne content of air asbestos removal is a task related to occupational hygiene.
During the removal of asbestos from the pylons supporting the boiler of the power station:     On the basis of our findings it can be stated that, if the occupational hygiene and safety regulations are compiled with, contamination with asbestos of the ambient air outside the working area can be effectively prevented.
